April 22, 2016 | By | No Comments

ConcertIA presents “A Service For Humanity” on Friday, May 6 in Fairfield at the First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Main St. and again on Saturday, May 7 in Iowa City at the First United Methodist Church, 214 E. Jefferson. Both performances are at 7 PM.

Brushstroke-Clef
Rossini’s only sacred work will be performed by ConcertIA ensemble soloists, soprano Heather Youngquist, mezzo Kaitlin Galetti, tenor Chaz’men Williams-Ali and bass-baritone Ivo Suarez. Originally scored for four soloists, 12 member choir, harmonium and piano, ConcertIA has created a “moveable feast” of Le Petite Messe Solennelle¬†with the four soloists also singing chorale sections. Inspirational text by great humanitarians will be projected behind the singers.

Come join us for a one hour program of inspirational music. A free will offering is suggested.
