The first of two evenings of art song features UI alumni opera singers Chaz’men Williams-Ali and Kaitlin Galetti in the beautiful lodge hall of the Iowa City Masonic Hall. The program includes Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte. Mahler songs, Brahms Four Serious Songs and Eric Ewazen’s Elizabethan Songbook for tenor and mezzo-soprano, accompanied by ConcertIa’s artistic director Shari Rhoads, piano. Come join us for an intimate evening of beautiful music!
Friday October 16
The second of two evenings of art song performed by Washington, IA native and UI alumnus Heather Youngquist, soprano. Heather presents “A Woman’s Life and Love”, a program celebrating a women’s life. The program includes Schumann’s famous song cycle Frauenliebe und-leben and songs by Copland, Bernstein and Britten in the beautiful venue of the Iowa City Masonic Building Lodge Hall.
